Bernie Madoff victims declare outcome a bittersweet victory
The message from victims was loud and clear - justice was served, but the nightmare will never truly end.
There was no sympathy among victims for the man who will spend the rest of his life behind bars for bilking them out of billions.
"He cheated his victims out of their money so he and his wife, Ruth, could live a life of luxury beyond belief," said Tom Fitzmaurice of Manhattan.
