What recession? CEO use of private jets increases in 2008

As major companies seem to be asking for increasing amounts of government bailout money, one would think that the companies’ executives would cut back on unnecessary expenditures — like private jets.

But CEOs are doing the exact opposite,the Wall Street Journal reports. Executive pay consultant Equilar released a study last week which revealed that Forune 100 companies spent more on private jets in 2008 than they had in five years.
