I agree that she was a very mean person who, despite all her money, was very unhappy and took her unhappiness out on the people around her. We probably shouldn’t piss on her corpse cuz that would make us all as rotten as she was. I hope the family contests the will because the old bag not only left the 12 mill to the dog but ordered all of the Helmsley properties be sold and the profits given to her foundation.

Average income earners in the U.S. earn approximately $50,000 per year.  Conversely, the top 1% control 80% of the wealth in the U.S.  This crock of an argument is consistently used by conservatives to defend the “right” of ultra-high income earners to hide their earnings from the IRS.

I think If i was Nicholas Cage I would do the same thing though. You figure…spend all of this money NOW, and with all of what you own, you could perpetually live off of it until your dead & some. I have a feeling that Nicholas Cage probably doesn’t have children. Way to use the system Nicolas, and keeping Capital via interest alive. Those properties are gonna sell for a fortune in 20 when he’s older!
